Helping mommy pack for CA

Well, my travels home from CA were very dramatic. Thank you to everyone who prayed for me to get home safely. I finally made it, one day late and extremely relieved to be home.

Here's a play by play for those who didn't hear what happened. I landed in DC to a voicemail saying my flight from DC to RDU (home) had been cancelled. I went to the United counter and there weren't any flights home until 1230 the next day. I ended up booking a flight to Greenville and deciding to have Ryan drive the 2 hours to come get me. I was told multiple times by the agent that it was Greenville, NORTH CAROLINA. I ran to catch a trolley to a different terminal because the flight left 30 min after I got the ticket. I missed the trolley and started freaking out. During this time I realized that my flight was going to Greenville, SOUTH CAROLINA. This meant Ryan had to drive 4+ hours to get me. I was angry to say the least. Finally got to the gate and the flight was delayed 2 hrs. Then it was delayed another hour. Then another 30 minutes. At this point, Ryan had been driving 3 hrs to come get me. This is when my flight got cancelled completely. Ryan had to turn around and drive all the way back home. I was in hysterics because I was pregnant, alone and stuck in DC overnight. I ended up getting a hotel for the night, without any of my luggage. I made my way back to the airport the next morning to catch that 1230 flight to RDU. The one good thing is that my luggage was waiting for me when I landed in Raleigh. Ryan couldn't come get me because he had to work but he got one of his friends' wives to come pick me up. I finally made it home about 330 in the afternoon.

On a completely different note, we have been working on Jax's nursery for the past few days! I've been doing lots of laundry full of tiny baby clothes. Ryan got his crib set up. We went shopping for the rest of the stuff we will need right away. Here's some pictures to check out
