I've been on a cooking, sewing, crafting binge recently.
For Ryan's birthday last Sunday I made these delicious blueberry muffins for breakfast.
He wanted tiramisu instead of a birthday cake, but I couldn't find ladyfingers (at 5 different stores!). So I decided to try to make my own. Duh. They were delish!
For the last month we've been eating only "real food", based on this website. I cooked two whole chickens (on different nights), and made chicken stock with the bones, juices, etc. I think I'm set for a while!
I decided not to do an actual Halloween costume for Lexi. Instead I bought her some leg warmers that are orange with black polka dots and made her this onesie. I think it turned out pretty cute!
I also sewed some jammie pants for Jax. I was frustrated with how expensive kid pj's can be, but then I remembered this tutorial that I used last year to make pirate pants for Jax's Halloween costume. So easy! I've made him 3 pairs so far and plan on making a few more for other people as Christmas presents.
And finally, I've had this tutorial pinned on my "sewing projects" board forever and I finally got around to it this weekend. I wish I had done it before Lexi was born but I'm happy to have it now as the weather gets cooler. I love how it turned out!
What cooking, sewing, crafting have y'all done recently?
