Bummer

I'm in a funk this evening. Which is weird because today was a really good day. Jax slept til 530 (ridiculous that that is a good thing in this house), he proceeded to eat almost an entire pint of blueberries (his booty wasn't too happy with him later), I finally pulled apart his car seat and cleaned all the stale cheerios and goldfish out, I got a fabulous pedicure, had lunch with some lovely girlfriends, spent the afternoon playing at home with one of said girlfriends and my sweet boy, and made waffles for dinner. Good day, no?

Well after Jax went to bed and my sweet friend left, my other not-so-sweet "friend" arrived. Yep. No sibling for Jax... at least not for another 6-9 months (plus ya know, the whole 9 months of pregnancy). I'm seriously bummed. I really REALLY want another baby. Everyone around me is getting pregnant with their second and I want my own. I know I have Jax (and man do I LURVE that boy), but I so badly want to hold a newborn... to smell that sweet smell and snuggle that tiny body. And now I have to wait until Ryan gets home before I can even have that be a possibility. Major bummer, ya'll.

Plus, I just stinkin' miss my husband.

Time for bed. Tomorrow is a new day. G'night.

  1. I'm so sorry Jenna. It must be so hard not to see Ryan. I can't wait for you to get to California! Not too much longer. I pray that Ryan's time aways flies by super fast. Love ya girly!

  2. Hey girlies...

first of all, I'm sorry, too. just know that this will happen in god's timing. you should just enjoy the journey until it does (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)!!

also, when will you be moving back to California? we decided to scrap Christmas because it's just too much international and domestic travel for two and half weeks and an 11 month old. also? it's outrageously expensive.

we're going to be near Vegas for an extended (month long maybe?) vacation in June, so if you are back in Clovis then we'll definitely make a 'no detour. if not, uhm... Vegas anyone?

    when did Ryan leave?

  3. Ryan left on Tuesday and we're moving back home on Saturday. But only for 6 months. So we won't be there in June :( Bummer that you aren't coming home at Christmas!

  4. Bummer Jenna! I know that feeling somewhat. It took us longer to get pregnant with #2 than it did with Lily and so it was so hard. But God has a plan for all of us, and I know he is looking after your darling family. Now that I am pregnant and can look back in hindsight, I know why I didn't get pregnant so soon, the timing just wasn't right. It will all make sense one day.
