I Always Forget

I take pictures with my DSLR camera with the intent to post them, then forget to upload them and actually post them. I usually end up uploading them when I do my weekly pregnancy pictures. But then the non-pregnancy ones get put on the back burner while I focus on the belly shots. So, I thought I would take this opportunity to post a few of the forgotten pictures!

We've been enjoying time at the park for the past few days. The weather has been beautiful, but it's slowly creeping back up into the 90's. Tomorrow we are headed to a local water park/splash park thing since it's supposed to be even warmer. But first, I have my 35 week prenatal appointment. I can't wait to see how things are progressing. And I cannot believe that I will be starting weekly appointments next week... Just 5 weeks left!

Randoms and Memorial Day

It's been a few weeks since I've done this, so here are some recent iPhone pictures.

34 Weeks!

Just 6 weeks left! And only 3 weeks until I'm considered full term... so exciting!

We are almost finished with the nursery bedding and I cannot wait to finalize everything in her room. I also need to pack our hospital bags soon. Time is running out!

This week has been boring, but we go to the doctor next week so I can't wait to check her position, hear her heartbeat and see how things are progressing. For now I'm just passing time, hanging out with my sweet boy and enjoying these last few weeks of only having one kiddo. I know that I will never get these precious days back.

Lexi is about 5 pounds and 18 inches this week... that's the size of a small newborn! Crazy! She seems to get the hiccups a lot. As much as I love feeling her move, the hiccups just feel like an annoying muscle twitch and it kinda drives me crazy! Plus, I just feel bad for her that she has them so often. I went to bed with her hiccuping last night and woke up to her hiccuping this morning. Poor girl. I guess it's good practice for her lungs.

 MAN, I looked rough toward the end of Jax's pregnancy. Also, my tummy looks so much bigger with Jax. So strange how different they can be!

Giants Game!

Now that we are Bay Area residents, I decided it was only appropriate to get ourselves to a Giants baseball game. We bought the tickets for ourselves and my parents, as a birthday present to my mom. Ryan ended up not being able to come because he was out of town for work, but my parents and I took Jax and we had a blast!

We decided to drive 20 minutes to closest BART station, then take that to the city instead of driving all the way in. Jax loved being on the train!

From BART, we got on MUNI (the SF city transit) and it dropped us off in front of the ballpark.

Jax wasn't super intrigued by the game itself. He watched it briefly every now and then, but he mostly climbed around and chowed down on junk food. 

He did, however, thoroughly enjoy the music throughout the game. He was a dancing machine, as always!

He got lots of kinds of junk food, including cotton candy. As he was eating it, a piece got stuck on his chin. It looked just like a little goatee. We were cracking up!!

We all had a lot of fun, but it was a loooong day for the little man. On our drive home, he passed out holding his guys, of course. There's nothing sweeter than a sleeping kiddo :)

The Giants ended up beating the defending World Series Champion Cardinals 7-5! It was a very exciting game and we were so excited that they won!

33 Weeks!

This week has been uneventful, as most weeks are. We've been enjoying spending time at my parents' house, swimming in the pool and playing with our friends. Well, Jax plays with his friends... I talk with my friends!

Lexi is continuing to be a lazy baby. Some days she moves, others not so much.  I'm feeling very big and very pregnant these days. I'm pretty sore when I first wake up in the mornings but it tends not to linger once I'm up and moving. I've been getting lots of "you must be due soon" comments from people. 7 more weeks, people. But thanks for noticing how large I am ;) Lexi is about 4.5-5 pounds now, so it's her fault I'm so big! I'm having 5-10 Braxton Hicks per day, which is actually exciting since I never had any with Jax. I'm hoping that means she will be making her appearance sooner than later! (And naturally, this time...). 

We went to a Giants game yesterday (blog post with details coming in the next few days), so my picture this week is in my Giants gear.

And here is the boy in all of his Giants gear! I thought he looked mighty adorable!

I'm off to enjoy the weekend with my family! Happy Friday, friends!

Lexi's Baby Shower!

I had such a fantastic morning on Saturday celebrating the soon-to-happen birth of my Lexi girl. It was a beautiful morning full of lots of chit-chat, laughter, yummy food, and all things girly. 

(I'm so mad at myself because I forgot my camera. I set it next to my purse so that I wouldn't forget it... and then I still forgot it. Grr! So all I had was a tiny point-and-shoot that I borrowed. I tried to edit the pictures and clear them up, but even that was hard. Sorry they aren't the best quality!)

Here are some pictures of the details-

The plates and napkins were so cute! And the fruit display was beautiful! Behind the fruit are two drink dispensers, one with pink lemonade and one with iced coffee.

The dessert table... lemon cupcakes, mini oreo cheesecakes, and orange meringues. Yum.

I loved the favors! They said "We know you will make a lasting impression on Lexi's life", and inside the bag was a stamp. Adorable!

Playing the "Guess the Poop" game. We had 7 different diapers with melted candy bars in them and everyone had to guess which candy bar was in each one. It was disgusting and HILARIOUS!

We are so blessed to have such fantastic friends and family who showered us with so much love. I can't wait to finish getting everything set up for Lexi to make her arrival!

Oakland Zoo

Last week, we took a trip to the Oakland Zoo. 

We had never been before, but our season passes to the Fresno Zoo got us in for half price, so we jumped on the invite from my only friend here, Jen.  

She brought along her two sisters-in-law, so there ended up being an 8-month-old, 3 three-year-olds, and 1 four-year-old. We were quite the group! 

They all had a blast and were the cutest little bunch.

Jax and Max have become fast friends. It was his pirate party that we went to two weeks ago.

If there are girls around, Jax will be near them. He was pretty obsessed with Nylah (in the pink coat and shorts). 

Jax always has to "walk on the balance beam" whenever there's a curb nearby. The girls joined in. Max was being a slow poke so he isn't in these last two pictures.

I'm sure we will be making many more trips in the future!

32 Weeks

Yes, friends... just 8 short weeks until Lexi gets here! 

This week was good because we had a prenatal appointment and that always makes me happy. We discussed more VBAC things and I'm feeling very good about that so far. My doctor seems to think that it is very likely that I will have no problem, and that I will also be able to have the kind of labor experience that I want (no drugs, very little monitoring, freedom to move around and do whatever feels good). Please keep praying that it all actually happens like that!

Lexi measured at 33 weeks, which makes me hopeful that she might come a bit early (I can dream, right?). She is about 4 pounds and 16-17 inches now. Her heartbeat sounded good and Jax got to hold the Doppler to my belly, so he loved that.

How crazy differently am I carrying them?! Can you see the tiny bump of my belly button in each picture? With Jax it is straight out and with Lexi it is almost pointing up. Insane!

My mom, mother-in-law, and two best friends are hosting my baby shower on Saturday. I'll be sure to post lots of pictures from it. I can't wait!

Randoms

I've been fighting some cold or cold/allergies thing for the past few days, so I haven't been doing a whole lot. My mom was here for a few days which was awesome and super helpful! We're slowly making progress on Lexi's bedding. I can't wait to show you guys once it's done!

I tried to get a picture of Jax kissing my belly. It didn't work so well. I'll have to have Ryan take one tomorrow for my 32 week post!

We found an awesome new park across the street. Jax loved "riding" these dinosaurs.

We went to our friend Max's pirate themed third birthday party last weekend. Argh!

I saw this swimsuit for Lexi at Old Navy and about died. HOW CUTE is it?!

We've had lots of beautiful weather recently. We took advantage and walked/rode to the park for a picnic on Friday.

I thought Mojo looked so cute with her front paws crossed. All she does is sleep all day!

Yesterday was pretty warm (90*ish) so we made our first, of many, trips to the splash park. The water was super cold but Jax had a blast.
